Beautiful shot.
What happened to the trees?
I think trees don't grow too well in the Tundra.
Think the Vikings cut the remaining woodlands down.....
oh, and the wind up here doesn't help matters!

Max- Very cool pics. I hope they tasted as good as they looked.
What variety of 'shrooms are they?
We have a mushroom grower that sets up near us at our craft gig. She sells "Oyster" mushrooms. Incredible!! They taste like oysters. Delightful when baked with onions, garlic and any kind of white fish.

Stewart- Thanks for that info. I've read that Spain was deforested due to the glass factories. Was just wondering if something similar happened there.

Larry: You got some good stuff in your garden there, those cool insects and all those fresh vegetables, yum yum! :P and also, as this is if i remember correctly your first photos contributed to this thread i gotta welcome you aboard :) keep photographing and posting more.

vinys: Thank you for your nice comments :) gotta love the macro feature, it can make ordinary daily stuff look alien. Btw this was shot in my kitchen under direct and bounced sunlight through my window (small kitchen) and i placed the mushrooms on a cuttingboard as i were about to chop them up for dinner which i did after i took these photos.

They were yummy to eat when fried in the pan with some butter :P

And Larry these are ordinary Agaricus bisporus mushrooms which is the most common food mushroom of all (i guess) it's used alot on pizza's and in other types of cooking. You have to look up which one it is on Google by using the latin name above. I can't find any good english references, sorry.

This is a request for the photo submitters ...... could we should start using thumbnails so the page loads quicker? How about it .... ?:)

....some street in Phoenix with lots of lights, me, a camera with a long shutter time. :) Nothing special,...just thought it looked cool.
I also saw a tree with strange light tentacles, ..So I took a pic! :)
Not great quality shots, but neat.

@ivox, cool shots, the long exposure experiments are really cool. time for a tripod?
I second the thumbnail suggestion...

@nico, did you go on a european safari?? great shots btw.

@glyptcimax, nice entry shots. show us more of your monster's garden :)

@max, you are becoming a pro in close-up. really well done.

@ludenhud, the last opera house submissions are great in my opinion, and so the sleeping kitty.

@all the other subbmitters: sorry if I forgot someone as this thread it is growing rapidly, but keep posting because it is kinda inspiring to see all this pictures everyday...

This is most of what I shoot these days. 800-1000/yr.

We're getting ready for an Alphabet Rainbow Sunflower Mask Parade in the park across the street. Complete with all sorts of noise makers to shake, rattle and roll.

And here is a first look ever at a chicken coop on a field trip to a farm.

jdp- The garden is getting near the end of its season, so its nothing to look at. Maybe next year, when its in it photographic prime.
I think I need to move Mr. Mantis. He lookin' for love in all the wrong places. And his season will be up before he knows it.
