The small preview windows look very promising but if I open one of the full views the jpeg compression takes a lot of details out. It looks blurry and has far too much compression artifacts.

If you don't want to use too much bandwidth please don't compress via jpeg-properties but just make the picture a bit smaller. The resolution is fine with me as it is my native screen resolution, but the pictures look aweful in that compression. The model and lighting look great, though.

I think the "ugly compression" comes from the fact that I used Neat Image on it. It's my first time using it ever. I only ran the rendering up to SL 12.5 and tried to use Neat Image for the rest. I'll keep tweaking Neat Image (I think I used a little too much "sharpness" on it) and let it run a little longer.

On a side note... wow, Chris remembered my name.

Looking very nice! The only thing I can't figure out is why you are getting so much reflection of light from the bottom of the chrome hardware (the cabinet handles and door handle/locks. What kind of lighting setup are you using?

BTW: Is it so un-safe in your building that you need two dead-bolts on your door?

Okay so after letting it run up to sampling level 15 and doing less Neat Image, I think we're just going to have to call the weird patterns in the chandalier picture "texture." The rest I think are now much better than they were.

Actually, after I pointed out to my friend how cool it was that the "big players" of the forum remembered my name, she kindly pointed out, "Isn't your name on the picture?" She's always good for a pick-me-up.

The only lights in the scene are from the three different pictures; enviroment, chandalier, end table. I think the reflection on the bottom of the hardware that looks like a light is actually just the white floor. Maybe we're talking about different things. Thanks you for the compliment.

As for the deadbolts, in Texas (and maybe the rest of the USA, I don't know) apartments are required to have two deadbolts... one that can be operated from inside and outside and one that can only be operated from the inside. It's a good safety precaution, but definately not one you need where I live.
