Sorry here too Fran.
I was just trying to say an apartment as beautifully designed and decorated as you skillfully rendered would probably be priced higher than estimated. I'm a fan of Art Deco and you did a beautiful job of capturing the mood.
I look forward to seeing more of your work.

For the bathroom scene, which is very small, my 2nd machine was taking ~2.5 to reach SL 12. (Dual Xeon 2.8 ghz 2 MB ram) - about 1/2 the time it was taking my main computer (same specs) to reach the same level. But I have to do other tasks simultaneously with my main one.

25 hours to reach SL 12 sounds really off.

Good work Fran  both the texturing, materials and ofcourse the modeling itself look nice, and so do the renderings.

I'm sorry for not commenting on your artworks in this thread until today.

ok, you mean you used two machines of Dual Xeon to render the scene? No wonder it took less then half the time to get the scene render. Cool...
The 13.5 is the total that each machine rendered. If I recall correctly, and doing the math, I had 5 coops merged - 4 of them at ~2.25 hr (machine 2) and ~4.5 hrs (machine 1) for the 5th one. My UPS for machine 2 is not trustworthy, so I was setting the SL to 12 so that I would lose a minumum of render time in case of a brown-out.

Good to know that we can still refer to you as Fabulous Fran when we aren't in the process of highjacking your thread

Have you posted any renders of that scene? I'd be interested in the scope and setup, to have such long render times. The Presler 930 should perform well. Is the cpu running hot? I've heard lots of complaints about that and that some people changed a setting in the BIOS and got much better cooling ability. Are all of your renders slow to resolve?
