There's definitely differences in what each reacts too emotionally and thus how efficient they are in certain jobs, though i would agree that most scientific work falls into a pretty neutral field.

Tell that to a feminist and report back :)

Q. What about the idea that women are too emotional to be hard-headed scientists?
.......maybe that's just what science needs.

Men like to solve problems. Women like to talk about them.

How many of us guys have listened to a woman’s problems then offered a solution that though valid was dismissed immediately?

I don't want to say what I think about all of that but as far as the murders that particular person will not be bothering them any more. In a shortsighted way Problem Solved.

I realize that that is a generalization but I'm responding to "Men commit 25 times the murders"

A little off topic but for years I had dreams of a woman as I slept. The same woman over and over. I thought that maybe one day I would meet her. Then I saw a version of Jane Eyre with William Hurt and Charlotte Gainsbourg. I had never seen a woman as beautiful as Charlotte Gainsbourg in this movie. I never had another dream about that "woman of my dreams." I think I insulted myself! Is that possible?
I even refuse to see another movie of Charlotte Gainsbourgs for fear of ruining my image of her. I realize that it's just a fabrication but I'm pleased to have this ideal in my head.

So forgive me if I insult anyone as I coddle my irrational dreams that are impossible to live up to...

Wow, I totally missed your equating violence with solutions. I guess we could emphasize the point by dragging up the statistics on how often a female is assaulted/abused/murdered by a boyfriend, husband, or male family member. Wonder what that's meant to solve?

@Fran

You know, it's funny. I'm of Puerto Rican heritage which can be very, VERY, male driven and masagonistic when it comes to the status and value of women in our society (it's getting better but there are some still archaic modes of thought).

My father skipped out on me when I was too young to remember him. That left my mother and grandmother to raise me and in the projects of New York City and that's a hard thing to do (or anywhere for that matter).

They had to fight, claw and defend against some of the worst influence to make sure I turned out ok. Life presented problems to my Mom and Gram everyday and they attacked each and every one motivated out of pure love for me.

Now I'm a married man with a wife in a much more peaceful city. Don't get me wrong, I have my struggles, but I'm doing better. Furthermore, my wife is equal partners in my business. She keeps me scheduled, disciplined and motivated to succeed.

The women in my life are my ROCKS. I'm a man because I learned what survival truly means from them. The only male influences I've had were all negative but the women in my life taught me to find positivity in my life no matter what so I see my father as an example of how not to be.

Which makes me a better father... because I live, breathe and would kill for my son. I learned that from a woman I love and was given the gift of his life from a woman I am absolutely devoted too.

Call me a feminist if you want. Personally I could care less. All I know is the women in my life are what have given me strength. I have learned of life through them.I have learned of love through them. I have learned of God through them and I thank Him everyday for them.

Luis

PS - I'm 6'2" 287lbs. so it's ok if I'm sensitive because I can intimidate based on appearance
