i'm at peace because it saves me time, but i am also glad that this method might help somebody else.
Leo-if you have any questions just give me a call- phone on site. It wouldn't take long.
We should make a tready and post the sites that people will be using this way we don't have duplicates.. :x :x :x :x
just post the link to the template and claim it.

Thanks all
I have done some flash sites in the past... So I'm guessing I wouldn't have much trouble customizing a template :D (But I def. should call you one of these days :P )
I'm planning to buy 2 or 3

ONe for our arch office
Another one for my mom's business (She has been wating for me to redo her site for a while, but as you guys might understand: making a site from the groud up takes a lot of time that I don't have)
Finally maybe one for myself   (Although I'll be so tire of websites by the time I finish the other two, that I'll probably won't do mine)
http://www.tereschubert.com/art/ I made that one before I knew about Maxwell.... you guys can see how much maxwell have save my life when it comes to renderings

I recommend a basic HTML knowledge though, you're really missing out on search engine ratings if you don't have any keywords or use faulty markup, no matter how great the stuff in the swf file is.

I meant the html that your flash site is embedded in as an object. Since it's just a few lines of code, it should be up to date and as a minimum contain: doctype, description, title and correct markup. Just like you adjust your Maxwell output in something like Photoshop, you should take the second to correct your Flash output in e.g Notepad, it's gonna stay there for thousands of users to visit and enjoy. You might be doing that anyway, i'm just saying it cause i've seen so many examples of carefully crafted flash sites with horribly messy html in the background.

Nothing yet, I'm talking right now with my two bosses to see what they want

maybe this one
http://www.hypertemplates.com/templates/11102.html
(however, it seems that not everybody can figure out how to use it  ... don't ask)
or this one
http://www.hypertemplates.com/templates/10595.html
(the simplest of them all... This might be the one)
or this
http://www.hypertemplates.com/templates/10528.html
(which is done by the same guy that did Herve's site  )

Adrian, it has been a whiles ince I did a website, coud you give us crash course on this... I know exactly what you're talking about, yet I forgot most of it
For example if I making a cool Maxwell Flash site.. after I'm done with flash and I open the index.html, what things should I be adding to the code?
This is what I remember... Hopefully is a good start
Code: Select all

It sure is :)

It's near impossible to have an eye on all the developing technologies, i experience that myself with my progress in php, or the lack thereof cause Linux, Modo and Maxwell keep me occupied when i wanna get something done. Can't have it all at once i guess :P

Right now my head is cooking and i'm too paralized to type but i'll see that i can write down a basic description later on or fiddle together a short tutorial in the offtopic section.

look's like everybody likes template here, sorry but i don"t : beuurk.
it means that probably another person/company have the same website somewhere

a website is a digital creation & if you use a template, it have nothing original.

i see the benefit in time & money, but i cant even think that someone have the same grafiks as i have...but ok... right now, i dont even have a website online, still in heavy dev, but near the end, still some problem with super slow internetexplorer, microsoft powered inside super powerfull & not breaking antitrust laws product (firefox rulez ;) ). (http://www.realistic-design.com/temp)

flash, yes but not fullflash, template : never
maybe i take this too much as a professionnal of web & not as a simple person that makes his own page

thxraph

... we just don't have time nor ressource to do a website.... I could do one myself.... so what...? I don't try to sell websites, but 3D.... so what counts is inside the box...

buying a template is like buying some Xmas wrapping paper..... to make the gift pretty... that's all....

besides you say... some people have the same... ok... try hard... find me two that are issued from the same template... good luck...
