The lame pocket wide-angles always annoyed me too.
There is a Kodak with dual lenses, one of those a 23mm equivalent. I dont know about Kodak quality, interface or the dual lens mechanism, but the lens seems ok. I will test this thing when my Powershot S40 finally falls apart these days.

Yea, I shot a lot of VR stuff with my 990. Still have the whole rig in the basement with a Kaidan VR head. I ought to use it or sell it.

A couple bad stitches, but I was in a hurry! Not the camera's fault.

I just got the Canon Rebel XT and am SO FREAKING HAPPY with it... a pro-photographer (J. Melton) friend of mine recommended it; he's a BBC Master Photographer and has covered 9 wars as a photo journalist. He uses the Rebel (6MP, not the XT at 8MP) for 70% of his work...

I just ordered the Promaster 7500 DX Digital Flash for it today (should be here tomorrow)...

Taking it to Key West next week for my wifes b-day weekend...

He has many camera's, of course. It all depends on what he's doing... the old axiom, "it's not the tools"... he's been doing this for 35 years... :D

And god only knows why, but he likes what he sees in my stuff enough to be a mentor... (maybe it's my stunning personality?)...

BTW, in my "spare time" (yeah, tons' of that); I'm working on his website... the pictures on PIXIE are nothing compared to what's coming)....

Yeah, I was part joking... The reason why I said it is because the rebel seems like a "starting camera".

It has like 10 different styles of "P"settings like portrait, landscape, night shot........ and only one wheel (which gets me mad  ).
While the 20D (next in line) has two wheels and only one "P".

Now, with no doub, the Rebel will deliver pro material (I don't want to go on-line and look, but I imagine that mostlikely the 20d and rebel share most of their internal components).
So for anybody that is reading this: it might seen like the rebel is a "starting camera", but..... have no fear, even veterans use them

Enjoy your mentor and your camera!! :D
