Work in progress or// focused critique forum? Interest?

Work in progress or// focused critique forum? Interest?

Dear MaxwellRender.com/forum,

Do you think there is room on these boards to set up, either a 'Work in progress' or a 'Focused critique' forum please?

The Maxwell Render forum could then be freed up for specific Maxwell posts. At the same time, offering a specific place where the more experienced Maxwell users can apply their knowledge to help progress new users abilities.

This could be a specific renders only forum, to allow the Maxwell Render forum to become the literary resource, with the gallery forum continuing to be a place for finished artwork.

Forgive me if it has already been discussed and I missed the boat. ;)

Tim, I think several people (including myself) have mentioned this a few times. I think its a really good idea, and would help make this place much more organised/easy to use. There are several areas of the forum with no posts at all in that could probably be switched over pretty easily :)


We could...cough....get a umm....challenges forum as well.....you know...while I'm asking... :D

Tim - I don't quite understand, I could use some clarity on your idea. How would that differ from what we have now? Don't we already have 'focused critique' and WIP posted in the Maxwell Render forum and anything other than Maxwell in the Off Topic forum. Are you saying you want a non Maxwell WIP forum were art work is posted and discussed? Just trying to get some understanding...

Hi Ron,

a Maxwell only work in progress or focused critique forum, not a non Maxwell one.

With the current Maxwell Render forum for all Maxwell related questions.

A new WIP forum has just been setup. And Nico's already in there with something cool.... :) Although it won't let me reply for some reason :?
