Any features you'd like to see implemented into Maxwell?

i could kick you all in the head!!!!!! let me get this straight....you want the first real physically correct renderer to be not physically correct? why don't you just use mental ray? holy. next limit, please ban these people from ever buying your products. lol.

somewhat disturbed,

luma
dear god, luma get a grip and calm down. nl guys will do what they think is better for maxwell and will develop it as they like and nobody here is trying to spoil your beloved unbiasedness (does the word exsist?).
besides betty has often been a help around here to the community, can't say the same of you. please leave this crap out of here.

Well, it is nice to dream, but it is also nice to be realistic...

What if Maxwell had a slider ?

Image

The fast setting would still use the Maxwell algorithms but in a trimmed down version (taking less samples or something).

We do not need to add complex abstruct render settings as the other engines have.... and we do not need to switch over to conventional render techniques (such as occlusion / dirt maps, photon maps... and all that) just a simple slider that regulates the existing Maxwell algorithms

(In that regard Betty could be on to something)

hmm, maybe we already have that if we just let it render in the low quality mode.

don't worry thomas, a similar thing to your wish may come true in near future ;)

i m agree with thomas

the slider is a good idea

for low quality is very fast compare a normal quality

but the white dot is a probleme

i sure maxwell now the maxwell must speed increase

but

the preview of final light ambinace is speed because if you lauch a little preview in low quality you have a good idea of final result in few minute

try this with mental ray (is impossible)

but maxwell for good result for final image is slow

this beta version and i think the maxwell is more speed in futur!!!!

good work nl
