Thanks guys. :) This is my version of "Sphere In A Box" - material experimentation that got a little out of hand.

If this were work for a client, I would output several versions with different ISO's, SP's and exposures for him/her to choose from. I'm not fond of the results to be had by upping the gamma above 2.2 - it starts to look washed out to me. This is gamma 2.2, burn 0.5, ISO 200, shutterspeed 75, Normal exposure control. The variations can be endless...

And Herve, they're hydrangea. I don't go to many funerals (thank goodness), but I've never seen them on a coffin or anything. They grow on big bushes in old ladys' backyards.

Sorry to insist but, I don't want you to make a washed rendering. And if you don't like to increase the gamma, don't do it. But for your next rendering, try to low down the burn setting much more, like 0.2 or 0.1, and then compensate with the shutterspeed. I just want you to try and tell me what do you think of that.

I updated the porch scene. I put a plane in the background with an mxi emitter on it. I like the way the background is evident on the wall next to the louver. I tried to put screening behind the louver, but it doesn't show up. On an earlier test, the size of the screening texture was way too big and it showed up just fine. Like chicken wire. But when I made it smaller, it disappeared. Could be a focus issue. Maybe if the camera target was actually placed on the screen object.

The new one is nice. If you composite the wave thingy over it would rock. And BTW what happened to the wave thingy?

Thanks Eric. :) Do you mean the other sculpture from other scene? Yeah, these twizzlers just aren't doing much for me and I keep messing with the surface and the materials to give it something (I'm not sure what).

Because the pillow models aren't very good. ;)

And Eric, most men think throw pillows are useless in general.

Thanks hyltom. :)
