Adam, that looks great. Can you explain how you made the bitmap. Is it just a solid color with a noise filter applied in Photoshop?

Yes, It is just a solid color with the PS noise filter added, but monochromatic turned OFF. Just turn up the noise for more flake effect.
The green sample has a little light gray specs added using the brush tool on disolve and opacity very low.

There was no point in posting a map since every color would be different.
