in this project i tried hdr images for background, illumination, reflection and refraction . it's an demo image so its watermarked . i wanted to rotate the background and used offset with 1 (for yes), 90 (for degrees) and 5000 (for pixels) - nothing worked :?

Image

so :: does someone know how it works :?:

thanks in advance . oliver

i'm moving my data form max to studio for final settings and renderings . in studio [sky options - mxi/hdr map] you can adjust the intensity, scale and offset for every channel ...

the material on the outer shell of the facade is nearly the original ags_dielectric_basic.mxm but the weightmap changed to 50/50

this material looks good if there is something to reflect :!:

That's the problem I'm having right now trying to get some strong reflections in the glass, so far it's just not as glossy as real glass usually is, any ideas how to approach that?

maxer ...

approach # 1 :: wait until mihai answers :D

approach # 2 (in studio) :: put hdr image into reflection slot and tweak the intensity . that's a good way to fake something in maxwell :wink:

Maybe I'm spending too much time here.... :P

I'd just increase the weighting of the reflective layer in the ags glass.....but increasing reflection intensity of the hdr works too, except that will influence all your surfaces in the scene.
