Hi
I been looking, and looking again at your golfcourse rendering and i'm not sure i dare to give you my honest critique on it as i probably get shit for telling the truth. But i do it anyways as i hope you can see the positive in it and improve your scene more to make it realistic.
First of all, the sky, i like the dusk style of cloudy look it has even tho no clouds can be seen. But that's something you could add in post afterwards by simply compositing it in there. After that there's the textures which i saw you got critics for on the above post, and i agree on that too, they're too lowres and show off pixelization in closeup shots. That's something you gotta fix. Some displacement could be used on pretty much all surfaces, especially in the bunkers to simulate footprints and splashes from golfballs in the sand.
Now even more.. heh, plz don't kill me for this :/ but i have to speak my word. Some slight transition between the different grasspatched areas, maybe a slight visible difference between the thinner and thicker grasses. Make the sand look like sand too plz

and what more.. yes the golfplayers u composited into the rendering, they're just too flat, like those paperdolls kids play with heh.
Maybe the camera angle could be set to a different one if you run into trouble with the texturing, move it up slightly above to give it more of a birds eye view on it all, that way u can keep the textureresolution at a lower res and still obtain good results.
I'm sorry i had to tell the truth but i just couldn't say it was good when i didn't actually think so
Btw.. i almost forgot to say, remember that the detail and realism is what impresses people, make use of the powerful Maxwell renderer to push it to it's maximum and show these guys and girls what you can do with it. My criticism is meant to improve your art, not to try to push you down. Plz don't take this the wrong way.
Anyways, good luck on your coming renderings and i'm looking forwards on seeing them
