Any features you'd like to see implemented into Maxwell?

Hiya

I was watching a rendering i made as it progessed along.. and as you all know it "exposures" the rendering like a photograph. A very nice and i have to say wonderful technique which i love. Now the idea i had while watching my rendering in progress is that it should be possible to take all the single images Maxwell generate during the time your scene is being rendered to smack them all together into one hdri image as if i now remember this correctly hdri images consist of alot of images all into one single image of different exposure levels. And when you render with Maxwell you sorta get all those exposured renderings for free as you do your scene :)
Then with some simple script or program you take all those images, make a hdri of them and use your own Maxwell generated hdri images in your own or others renderings! :D voila! free and easy method to do it with hehe

Hope this idea is useful for some developement of some sort, i'm sure it is as it's a rather simple idea.

And btw, when doing your rendering you could probably use a sperical lens or something so you get that proper look on your generated exposured hdri ready images ;)

why put some 24 bit images with different exposures together when you can use high dynamic range data straight coming out of maxwell?!

Umm.. it generates hdri data ?!

it calculates with and generates high dynamic range data,.. thats correct. We don´t talk about high dynamic range images (*.hdr-files).. but yes. those can be generated from high dynamic range-data

in very near future maxwell will be able to use hdr images also...
furthermore it's mxi image format will beat it surely, this was an official news.

That's true, internally the renderengine calculates with the full spectral range or whatever it's called hehe :) u know what i mean.

But until they implement a feature to render out directly to .hdr images in a future version then maybe my idea could be used to generate the base images for your own homecooked .hdr images :)
