I've lusted after that NASA/Kubrick lens since I read about it.

And on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, we have my entry for today.


A couple years back, I was out riding my bike (the me-powered variety as opposed to the internal combustion version) and in the middle of the bike lane was a dead rabbit -- quite flat and clean -- and someone had spraypainted a 'chalk outline' around it. The only thing I had on me to take pictures with was my clunky little Sony PDA. So, photo specs are irrelevant to that image.

Elaborate on the issue with the supplied lens...poor quality?

Well it works just fine it's just that usually it's not sharp enough, especially in the corners. And photos taken with another lens I bought separately just look better, not just sharpness but the overall image quality, contrast, blur...

Mihai: you are so right. It's just small differences.
Not enough color and contrast. Pictures don't look deep and rich.

So what lens you bought then? Are you happy with it?
Some kind of macro you have. That strawberry photo is really delicious!

Few weeks ago i visited in Sibenik - Croatia. I have 3D model of this cathedral.
Used it many times for lighting tests. Now i had opportunity to see it realtime rendered.

What kind of places are you looking for?
I might have ideas for you. This was second time in Croatia coast for me.
We were traveling with my girl friend thru Sibenik, Split, Rogoznica, Zagreb...etc.
Really beautiful places. Most kind people there.
