We finished at last the buckets short film, this is a little simulation short. We used for the water simulation real flow, and for the render , maxwell render engine.

frame render time - 12min
cpu - dual xeon 3ghz

You can see the short film in different resolutions in www.keytoon.com

We hope you will like it.

Well done! Dr Maxwells expressions are really funny :)
So which one is Oscar and which one is Victor?

I noticed with the water ball that when it's refracting objects close to it, there is almost no noise, but when it's refracting the back wall there's a lot more noise.

Hi :)

Thanks for all comments :P

We used an internal betatesting version before 1.32v

I don´t use the sss in the short film, only maxwell plastic and glossy :)

The short time render is thanks to a simple light setup.

And the dielectric:
Abbe-160
Nd- 1,33

Un saludo

Hiya!

Now i feel the urge to comment on this thread too :)
I watched the short a few times and it's very well done, funny and it looks just brilliant in any way possible :D
And i have nothing to criticize about since i cannot even in a million years make anything better myself.

Just a outstanding job! :) (btw.. can't wait to see your next animations)
