There is a problem when rendering images from FormZ using a different aspect ratio than the standard window.

Try making an image in FZ with an aspect ratio of 800 wide by 400 high. The exported image in Maxwell is not identical.

Please fix this soon. I rely on being able to composite renderings from Maxwell using hidden lines, Piranesi tracings etc.

Hi Peder,

Are you using old materials or mxed? There is not a way to change the aspect in old materials, the ratio is not passed to the plugin. With the new mxed you can change the texture settings inside but anyway we will look for easier ways to do that.

Maybe I wasn´t making myself clear. I don´t know what your references to texture mapping means (in this thread).

Simply create an image inside FZ with an aspect ratio of 800 pixels wide by 400 pixels high. Render this image in FZ.

Export to maxwell using the plugin and set the same image size there.

Overlay the two images and notice that the geometry does not line up. (It seems to work if you do not change the aspect ratio from the default)

It is as if the Maxwell image is zoomed or dollied out.
