When you first buy a La Pavoni it's the most frustrating thing on earth, I hated it couldn't make a good coffee with crema, for love nor money. It took months to master that thing as well as an expensive coffee grinder. Now it's a pure joy to wake up in the morning and have a great coffee.

It has turned me into a coffee snob though.

People do become quite passionate about this semi inanimate object.

Lair of the Chrome Peacock - some nice photos on this site

On La Pavoni’s official website they even have a page dedicated to movies that show a La Pavoni coffee machine in use! http://www.lapavoni.com/

That's what caught my eye as well... this was on a major highway... we were driving along and I saw this place... luckily there was a lull in the traffic, so I puuled off.. my family thought I was nuts and couldn't figure out what I was doing... I took a bunch of shots, but most of them were blurry (I then bought a monopod for just these occasions...). What's really fun is what you can do with a scene like this in PS... using just "solarize"...
