Has anyone heard anything? I really dont want to have to boot into XP everytime. Would be nice to have a native universal build. Right now my 2 licenses of maxwell are collecting dust.. not even installed.

I have had an email from Jenny at Next Limit. She says that there will be a universal version coming out for the Intel Macs. They are unable to give an exact date as yet.

This sounds very encouraging.

There is always a choice. They could easily have decided to ditch the Mac market completely. I get worried about such things.

I share the same fear.

But let's face it, with the upcoming Intel Mac Pros and Boot Camp or Virtualization, the Mac platform is going to be a major alternative for current PC users.

The Mac is here to stay!

just look at the Quad and the interest it has generated. (and Speed!)

I remember reading that Vlado from Chaosgroup (VRay makers), a well respected man and company afaik, has stated a speculation (pure speculation) or rather feeling that the Mac is going to be the future.

There might even be a version of VRay for MAC OS X!
Actually there were some screenshots of it runing on the Mac.

NL is a company that needs to generate revenue.
So they can't afford to drop the Mac.

Specially after all the problems...

Anyways, IF Maxwell would stop Mac (UB) development, that would make me VERY sad, since I like working with Maxwell. (when will the c4d plugin update be out??)
