yes, it's the same license file!

actually i can not start maxwell itself either! and i have read that this never worked on macs.

it should only start if You hit render in studio... which doesn't with Your thing... hmm.

did You remove all older maxwell files?

I added the license file via the pull down HELP menu in MX Studio and put it in the package contents of Maxwell.

It runs fine.

I recommend restarting.

Which program can you run? not run?

I would search and delete EVERYTHING and retry it.

yeah i deleted everything...

but i got it running. i remembered back with RC5 i did a chmod on the maxwell directory and it must have corrected some privledge inside that was not allowing read access - so it wouldnt' run (since no read or execute whatever may have not been set right)

essentially it would do the bounce and quit since

so a chmod 777 on the maxwell folder and it started right up and then i was able to import my license file

all set and running fine. i've just got to remember this for next time too : )

that's the reason why - repeat like a mantra - on OSX, it is best to repair your permisssions after installing critical software...
