hi is there still no animation in cinemaplugin???

also it still doesnt save its settings?
and i even dont dare to test, does it still crash cinema at restart when left open at closingc4d?

it also has no support for the object id channels and the material channeld etc...

i hope the plugin will be a bit more polished to be real v1, please NL make it fitting to the rest of the v1 app which looks really nice....

welll and to make it really a full workable thing i hope for a future selection tag support...maybe for 1.5?

cheers& thanks

animation and motion blur was promised with "the next beta" after the very
first release of the plugin. This is a year ago and needless to say hasn't
changed a bit.

Frankly all I'm waiting for is the SDK.

... and I wish for all the different material choices you get in 3dsmax and several other plugins for dielectrics and metals. (crown, .....)

about sunposition etc, in the past i made a screenshot from realsky sun setting dialog field in cinema and another screenshot from the rendered image in the viewer and save it in a folder called (skysettings )

and cinema crashed when i load another szene while open the plug in box.

There is a nice freeware plugin available called "Newnotesheet" - you assign it to any object you want. It appears as a tag. Clicking on this tab gives you a kind of notepad in the attribute manager. So I use it to put in the coodinates/town and the sunsettings I use.

You could also use a null-object and just rename it according to your settings. (I wouldn't want to have so much high resolution screenshots (1920*1200) just to save the sun settings.)

Nixe workaround, but be serious:

What's the sense of global settings for document and environment setup
anyway if the users have to write down the setting somewhere in the
document then?

This is bad by design, and I proposed a better solution for this a year ago:
Have an "M~R object" that stores the doc's setting for environment etc.

If done right, this is compatible to later versions, keeps all the things in one
place and is just the right thing to do.

I guess now I can see why the A-team was so reluctant to give straight answers to the "how is the plugin coming" and "is that going to be in the plugin" questions for the past 6 months. Trying to use Maxwell with Cinema on a Mac is like the 4th or 5th level of hell. :D
