Hi acquiesse,

I've previously explained this:

Today's announcement is better than yesterday's.

By friday we will find out that the latest feature in Maxwell makes you live longer.

That has always been a feature of Maxwell.

By giving you more time to do what you want while it's rendering, instead of spending all of it tweaking the 50+ params of other renderers, you can accomplish more, thus your effective life span increases :P

*Realizing that finally having Maxwell v1.0 will ruin my time management to play Oblivion - would you mind to postpone Maxwell any further?* :D

Really looking forward to get the final version to play with it. Then you will see some of my images in the usergallery. (Perhaps not as good as the rest here, but I like Maxwell ad render almost everything with it, discarding and ignoring the cinema internal render.)

Thank you Tom and Victor and Maya .... and the complete Maxwellteam for producing such a great toy!

Macray, its friends like you that make this forum a great place to be! :D

Thank you Tom for this great experience.

But one technical question, will V1.0 be binary for wintel macs????

Or has it been tested on a mac with bootcamp???

Maxer wrote:I've got a question about running Maxwell as a service in Windows, I was told by Maya that this would be possible in V1.
Hello Maxer,

It will not be available in 1.0 but in a 1.x addon (of course for free). We understand that in some situations running mxcl as a service could be useful.

Juan

Hi,

1) 1.x addons are free
2) 1.x addons will be ready when they are ready

We won't abuse bullet 2 and we'll try to provide them ASAP.

Best regards,
Tom

Nicolas: wintel is categorized as 1.x addon here

OK, so the osx universal binaries will be a follow up. Better get bootcamp up and running then :)

That burning ember picture is absolutely amazing. I hope Mike Verta adds that to his Maxwell Masterclass thread as a tutorial. :D
