Mihai, ......just think about how many separate vectors/forces would need to be considered/calculated and adjusted, then sent to the various gyros with some kind of fancy digital voltage regulators ......all in real time. It's not a single gyro/servo ........ It's not someting impossible, but to have it all work so nicely (as seen) in something put together like this .......well, ....it's impressive. Definitely out of my league.

good thought ....... !

....we're not kicking as much ass as we think we are. technologically speaking, .......that is. ;)

Yes, the most advanced walking robot today is not clever enough to perform actions of coordination equivalent to an ant (or a flee for that matter).

Yeah, that is the basic idea :)
It turns out the programming involved (all conditional loops for all factors) are so "heavy" that an onboard computer is not fast enough to calculate them all in time. So basically the robot falls before its computer get the chance to realize/solve how it should react to that fall.

I'm not sure how many bodily communications are made, but I believe it's in the heavy billions (if not trillions) just to type this sentence. ;)

 While at the same time you could be typing standing on one leg on a ship at sea and still keep your balance. Amazing!

Or you could be typing standing on one leg, and with your other hand talk on the phone.....while toepainting with the other leg.....

Well I guess I'm just some kind of typing/balancing/sailing computing miracle ...... :P ....shouldn't I be rich or something ? :?

How about computer with a neural interface to a live being, bypassing the creature's own will to obtain direct mind control:

It got me so angry when i show it... it also got me angry on the grounds of future implementtion ... these things always start benovelantly ...

If I wear my tinfoil hat, I can see its first human implementation for control of inmates ... and ..
