I guess what you need to replicate a flash just use a small emmiter next to the camera, not a cube nor an sphere, and give it a blast of wats, set the bounces to the mininmun, so it will be dark where the light does not hit directly.

To get those ugly hard shadows than the flash produce it is important to keep the emmiter small.

It's just a suggestion since I'm using mac and I can't test it yet.

the proper and only way i suggest is to actually model that flash object with an emmiter inside... here is a dif. example but you can understand waht I mean...

the model is by Narvalo.

If you want to brighten your image you can:
adjust fstop (lower it, ex 2.6 or lower)
adjust shutterspeed (lower, ex 40 or lower)
adjust filmspeed setting (found in render dialog, tone mapping section, higher filmspeed means film is more sensitive to light, so you get brighter image)

If all this makes some parts of your image too bright, then you will have to put in extra emitters here and there to help with the lighting.

i vote for flash option in camera params...

small emitter with low bounces are a good solution...
until you need glass and metals...

ok...

thanks guys for reply.

but i thought , as naxos says,

it's would be a better stuff if it's a putted in parameter of camera

as 'Option'
