Misterasset thanks, :) mastered's a bit strong [!!] but I'm having a lot of fun playing around with coatings, hopefully some more pleasing results soon.

Try a lamberian BDSF followed by 1 coating of between 60nm and 275nm, adjust for roughness [diffuse or shiny] and just play around from there. Attenuation's quite important, but if you're doing all this in Studio then previews/tweaking will be a doddle. :)
