Just playing with a model that I created a few years ago. The render looked pretty clean after 3 hours - full size was 1600 x 1200. I let it render overnight to see if it would make a big difference - it didn't. If I get a chance I will try it again with some bump maps to dirty it up a bit - it's too clean now... :D

iker - the lighting is pretty much a standard studio setup (there are samples posted on the forum) - but using colored emitters.

Steve - good eye noticing the weld :)

I still want to do a slightly dinged up version. It is cool to render a product that looks like it has been retouched but I've done a lot of product retouching over the years and I'm bored with the "perfect" look - even though that is how most client's want the products to look.
