Thanks all!
3dtrialpractice - Thanks for your kind comments. Yes, I have gone back to Beta. What's important for me is ease of use. RC5 became too much of a hassle and was interrupting my work flow. The scene is really very simple. I made a single glass block using booleans on campherd boxes with noise added to them. This single block was then instanced and rotated to eliminate any repeating patterns. Everything else is just a series of planes, one for the brick wall, one under the subject, and one behind the subject. Exterior lighting is physical sky with sun set for very early morning, and a single sphere with a strong emitter material is inside the 'room' to iluminate the subject. Everyithing is using real scale - the blocks are 10" x 10" x 4".
giacob - Agree, Beta is much more intuiative and easier to use for my needs (except transparency/opacity mapping). Thanks!
Oliver - Thanks, I may come back and do some other scenes using blocks, but I've got another project on the stove...
Adrian - Damn those nudes! Always messing up a perfectly good rendering!
Maximus - Damn those blocks. Always messing up a perfecly good rendering!
iker - I like this one too. I got it as a freebe, I think from Renderosity. Thanks!
aitraaz - Thanks, and you are absolutely correct. Those are her feet!
NocoR44 - Toying is my 'modus operandi' - I rarely plan ahead except with just an idea. I just let the piece find it's own way out.
Thanks again all!
