Beautifully made, only thing that bothers me a bit is that you can see the tesselation, make it 2 million polys if you have to :)

Yeah, the polygonal irregularities are due to the Boolean operation I had to perform. The sphere has already got 111 faces. You can see that high detail at the sides of the sphere. But to be honest I have gotten to appreciate the irregularities, otherwise it becomes too perfect.

We 3D guys have gotten used to polygonal artifacts being a negative effect, but in this case I don't find it disturbing.

In this case I don't think irregularities are appropriate seeing how everything else in the scene is clean and perfect looking and it looks to be a high tech style logo.

Did you do the boolean on a lower rez version of the sphere and then tesselated the whole thing? I think it would be better to do the boolean on a very high rez sphere instead.

The BB edge reflections look like a cheap airbrush illustration. The rest of reflections / lights look great. I think that if you want to insert the BB in a ball you need to make a better boolean. if not try a cube or something else.

Thanks for your comment. As I mentioned, personally I like the raw, rough, machine-like punched logo edges in the sphere, and the logo cut out of a cube will surely look much less interesting.
