i say ..
open file in max/viz and use plugin render maxwell to create MXM file only ...

but old MXM file is not compatible with RC5 MXM file ..

if you don't save MAX/viz file.. you can convert MXM beta to MXM RC5

Hello,

Have you installed the new plugin that comes with RC5? it's located under the /next limit/maxwell/plugins directory.

You'll then need to render the MXS file from Max again before opening it in RC5.
