Zoiks! I'm still trying to catch up on all the messages since rc-fifth came out and missed this one. The texturing on the lamp is outstanding! You seem to be adjusting well to the new version, Oliver! Keep it up!

thank's Faraz, Michael and iker :D

so, now started to model a part of my appartment... still lot of modeling and texturing to do, but wanted to check light distribution, and i must say that i am very happy with the result for now. Used physical sky and sunlight.

Olivier, ...the test is nice, ...the glass block is great, ....is that water behind the blocks? if it is, then I think it's a pretty nice result ..in fact super result .......if it isn't, then .....just a good looking accident. :)

water ???? nope   have no water in my appartment
the glass blocks are modelled, behind you have another part of the room, and the glass blocks reflect the part of the room that is behind us... as i said, it's pretty similar to what i see... but there is not enough detail in the pic for now. I have an other pic cooking :D

then it's accidental.

doesn't it look like outside the glass block window there is a walk ..(that's where the sunshine is hitting), ...and beyond that there's some sort of pool ........that's what I perceive. , but I'm a dreamer.

edit: ..this all makes sense if you don't see that the glass blocks don't go all the way to the ceiling. ....doh, ...missed that.

I bet this will be one of the most beautiful render with Maxwell.
I mostly like the warmth in objects, textures and ambience. :)
Already tired of all rectangular flat geometry...
