Yeah, where are our plug-ins, especially the C4D plugin ??? Come on guys you said a couple of hours and that was almost 2 days ago.

Your lack of response to Mac users was funny about 6 months ago but it's worn off now.

I agree. Even if RC5 looks very promising, from a mac user's point of view, no release or this release makes no difference...

it would be nice to know if a quick update is on the way or if we'll have to wait several weeks with this non-working version.

Check the announcements... new G5 and G4!!! versions available in download area. Haven't tried them yet though....

The G4 version loads correctly on my machine - G4 dual 1.25, OSX 10.4.4

I am rendering the maxwell office scene - launched it from Studio with no problem.

I downloaded the G4 apps about 15 minutes ago (8:45 AM EST in Philadelphia) and noticed that they were not on the mirror site, just on the main download site.

It's Friday folks! Enjoy and have a nice weekend.

Well, I dl the latest RC5, and I still have problem with yellow or red or blue previews in Studio. The render scene button or shortcut does not work for me anymore, I can render no more aaargh. Better try to restart the G5

Renders smoothly the nloffice.mxcl on G4 1.5GHz PB. Very pleased that at least something works, since I purchased the licence. I am quite sure from now on, we will manage the rest as well.

BUT I can only import 3ds and it is completely screwed up as well. Neither obj nor stl etc work.

Same. I cannot import tripled .LWO files (from either LW 7.5d or 8.5) nor can I import .OBJ files exported from LW. If I take the exported .OBJ file from LW, open it in UVMapper and then export the .OBJ it opens in Studio.

UVMapper is a free OSX download:

That is a contorted workflow, but we'll see if the plug-ins make the situation any better. Good luck folks, it's FRIDAY!!

Do you mean that you're able to render in maxwell.app from maxwell studio? If so, have you done any trick? It doesn't work here, exept from the maxwell studio preview/render region/render yellow renders..

just click on the 'render scene' icon at the top icon bar... i should start the standalone renderer with your scene. if not - check for the installation issues already discussed... (only one app on your mac, restart after install, repair permissions, etc etc)

Make sure you have "Enabled Low Priority" CHECKED in the render options otherwise the render will not start. If you want to speed things up you need to save your scene, close Studio and double click your file to start the render process.
