Juan,

Not to rush after such a great release, but any idea on when we might see an updated plugin that will export bodies, parts etc as groups with selectable faces. Right now that is the only thing holding me back in studio. I have a project where I want to make some faces on a component frosted glass, and not the whole object. This cant be done right now in SW I guess because SW does not have normals.

Hi Eric,

I have been absolutely focused in Studio last weeks, sure you understand it. Now I will try to improve the plugin as soon as possible ( after the mac version is released) . I can not give you a date because you know we are not good giving dates but I promise I will do my best ;)

If next week any of you visit SolidWorks World 2006 in Las Vegas, we will be glad to speak with you there in our booth. I can not be there ( too much work in this side of the ocean ) but my workmates will be glad to listen your feedback.

Cheers,

Juan

Juan,

I will be at SolidWorks World 2006 and I can't wait to visit your booth. I'm glad Maxwell decided to set up a booth at the conference. I think you'll find a number of SW users will be willing to use Maxwell once the kinks are worked out and V 1.0 is released.

No prob Juan. I know you guys are very busy with more pressing things at the moment. I hope everything goes well at SW confrence. I think there will be a lot of people very impressed by what they see. Photoworks is the only render plug-in available for SW, and it is very poor. That could be a huge market for you guys. SW has a very large user base.

So, is this a known issue?
