well it is missing one option there..

Sun light through glass is NOT a feature but part of the engine itself.

If you have sun and if you have glass... or they work or they don't.

The sunlight system in the Beta is THE reason I purchased Maxwell. I do not see myself using it all that much without it. And as an Architect, the glass issue is just plain and simple. Required.

I agree if someone sees this threat they might think that sunglass through glass is kind of an optional feature what it makes no sence.

this thread should be deleted.

I'm going to quote myself on this topic if you guys don't mind (no use typing it again.)
The Pixel Artist wrote:Now Mike I too appreciate your efforts (and I too believe you've been put into a lousy situation) but I personally find it hilarious that NL (and it seems you) consider sunlight accurately passing though a transparent object a "feature". That's kind of like saying "our rendering system may be able to produce a displayable image once complete". The point being that it's kind of worthless as a rendering system (especially a supposed uber physically accurate rendering system) if it couldn't do either of those things.

So I personally find it dumbfounding that someone in the know can't tell us if Maxwell is going to have this "feature".

if this thread undermines or threatens the outcome we all want - ie a render engine that is better than all the rest, then as the author of the poll i give permision to delete
