Very nice test andronikos! :D
I'm curious about one thing... why is the reflection of the emiitter so big?

I guess cause the floor material has UV sharpness...you think is wrong?

i thought so but don't you think it reflects the fog scattering much than directly seen? what if without uv? maybe 1 frame to test it

great test andronikos, looks really promising. i have to agree with tom though, light's reflection on the floor looks a bit odd to me. can you render just a frame without mblur and scattering?

I will render without SC, but I think that due to SC the light reflection is correct... notice also when the small crazy emitter goes close to the floor...

the teapot dimensions are about 150mm radius...

anyway I will render it again to see.

take care guys,
Andronikos

EDIT:here is without the SC

THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT MAXWELL!

BUT RENDERED WITH MATADOR CLIENT V1.0 THAT WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR MAXWELL!

ACCORDING TO MATADOR DEVELOPERS MATADOR FOR MAXWELL WILL BE MUCH FASTER, BETTER AND LOWER RENDERTIMES !

I have access to their renderfarm....210Ghz total

  so the magic about efficiency is not matadorlight, it's all about this renderfarm.... hehe take me guys ;)

I don't understand, why do you say it's not Maxwell? Matadorlight is not a render engine, it's just a file translator so it can hand off files to Maxwell, and Maxwell renders it. It's misleading :?

Anyway, I would like to know how matador can greatly decrease render times.....the rendertimes are also misleading if you don't mention the 210ghz

Hi guys,
i try to explain the mistake about MatadorLight and Matador Remote.

Matador Light ( www.arkadin.biz/matadorlight ) is a little and simple software that allows to import several 3D formats and to render through the fantastic Maxwell Rendering engine. It is free but don't speed up the Maxwell rendering engine.

Matador Remote ( www.arkadin.biz ) is a complex software that to allows to import several 3D formats and to render it under the not so fantastic rendering engine called Lightwave. It speeds up rendering times since the rendering are automatically executed on a 70 cpu cluster and then send back to Matador Remote. All traffic is 256 bit encrypted. Matador Remote has big problems to render efficiently scenes with artificial light, Indoor natural light, and huge amounts of reflecting surfaces.
For that, with the help of Next Limit's team we are porting the whole Matador Remote system under Maxwell. With Maxwell, Matador will be serious and very fast.
