it was fun to try mimic dust but take almost 5 years to figured out

there is my try to fake SSS with high roughness glass. I know it is not so correct but still looks cool.

I can't find the thread were he described it, but if I remember it correctly it was produced with a horizontal surface and motion blur.
the surface crosses the hole scene from top to bottom leaving some traces of light. seems to be faster way than using sss
