Nico, thanx for taking the time and .............does it ever!

i think that's the first time i've seen it done that way. ...nice nice.

Come on people, how cool is that? ...gotta give it up to NL for reflection/glossy mapping. or am i just a simpleton and easily impressed.......?

Nico, i noticed (or at least it looks that way from here) that you left out
any dielectric/reflection on the dials. yeah? .....if so, why not use
the same technique on those. ......?

and am i correct in thinking that this doesn't add render time using the map instead of geometry/dielectric?

I'm a simpleton and easily impressed, but it's still cool. :) I was searching the forum for this very type of thing the other day and couldn't find the thread I was looking for. I wanted to use a glossy map to mask some tile grout.
