It's amazing how much energy you guys have to discuss to death these things....pretty obvious things went wrong for NL, but you go on the forum and it's like Groundhog Day. I realize people like to discuss things but isn't there a point you reach where you just get too bored to talk about exactly the same things in exactly the same way?

This is a render forum. Kinda hard to avoid that fact that the RC CAN'T RENDER WORTH BEANS. That is going to take some time for people to digest and get over. Yes, let's all set aside the fact that the Release Candidate renderer we've been issued doesn't render. Instead let's all dig deep and figure out what's wrong and speculate on how to fix it. We're a goldmine of information here. That's why they have the forum if you haven't guessed it yet. The forum is rich with folks who aren't stupid, can think on their feet and get a few things to work in spite of the glaring shortcomings of the product.

A kick-ass render preview will be valuable to me when the preview actually shows what the renderer will produce.

They was working on maxwell insted making public relations.

The point is, if NL just LISTENED to their customers, the people who PAY THEM THEIR SALARY, then we could all stop "whining" as you imply.

How can a company set up a forum for a product that they sell, then have 80% of the people who bought it complain about how bad it's going ON THAT VERY FORUM, and not say anything? Not take into account what everyone wants?

If I made cars for a living and loved the color Blue, but most of my customers didn't, I wouldn't charge ahead blindly and say, "Oh well, you're all getting Blue cars!" That would be stupid.

PLEASE NL...LISTEN, LISTEN, LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS!!

Stop defending these guys at least. You're a smart person, as evidenced on this forum, and I think you have been a tremendous asset on this forum...big time, but you have got to stop. If anything, given who you are and your standing within the forum, I would hope that you would be at the front of the line trying to knock some sense into NL.

Help us all Mihai. Maybe NL will take it more seriously if YOU were to talk to them. Would it help if I said, I beg you to speak on our behalf.

If not, then let us do what we have to do.

yes daros, please do consider to change your avatar. normally i wouldn't comment on this, i think avatars are personal but hey, you asked. for me the only point is that your comments are very good and informative; it distracts from the quality and character of what you say to see the guy on the pot. but hey, it doesn't matter much, after all, its a render forum about a new software that doesn't seem to render (very well) at the moment ... (and not at all for MAC!)
