I don't think you guys understand how BitTorrent works.
--------------------------
The following is from Wikipedia:
BitTorrent is a method of distributing large amounts of data widely without the original distributor incurring the whole of the corresponding costs of hardware, hosting and bandwidth resources. Instead of the distributor alone servicing each recipient, under BitTorrent the recipients each also supply data to newer recipients, thus significantly reducing the cost and burden on any given individual source as well as providing redundancy against system problems, and reducing dependence upon the original distributor.
---------------------------
So, if I want to send a project to everyone to help render , I would have to have to get several "peers" on line at the same time to help distribute, AFTER they got enough of the the file to begin with. Also BitTorrent is SLOW. I am afraid that my deadline would be past before everyone received a copy of the MXS, let alone, sending back the finished MXI files.

Don't misunderstand, BitTorrent is GREAT for distributing things to hundreds of people over several weeks. But I think a standard FTP site would be the best solution for what we need.

BTW: I already said that I am willing to help provide the FTP site. (within reason, 4TB transfer limit per month etc.)
