100% rhino plug-in!

Edit: oops forget that i'm using studio for the material calibration scene made by Thomas. So let say 95% rhinoll and 5% studio. But i think i will go later for 50% rhinoll and 50% Studio just because in studio, you can modify your material without saving them when you are working on a scene. With rhinoll, i get thousand of material in my library because i must save all of them if i want to used them in my scene.

Think of it this way:
Take the "materials" scene as an example. How would you have (and manage) a universal object like this, shared accross platforms, without Studio ?

MXST, is very important because it creates a standard...
Its the connective tissue that brings the Maxwell world together. It also establishes a UI standard accross plugins; components of studio (such MXED) are used by the plugins.

As a universal translator, Studio is ideal and necessary. For all else possible, my hope is that it will continue to be redundant compared to the plug-ins.

Hi Thomas, .....Absolutely agreed. What you mentioned is exactly the first thought I had when I became aware that there would be this thing called, ..Studio. I thought it was brilliant that suddenly we'd have a 'universalism' of files and materials across the plethora of plug-ins and apps.

As far as the statement about the A-team, ...that was just a little tongue- in- cheek shot. I like Studio and the idea of it, but the non-testers didn't have a private forum where familiarity with the application and it's functions/workings could be trialed. The 'lot' of us just had to come out the gate from a cold start. No real instruction, ...just make it work.

That was the real source of the comment, ....it was more of a 'ribbing' than anything else.

We're on the same page ....... ;)

Hope that clears things up, ...not that there was a real need to have a clearing-up. :)

I use SW, Rhino, and C4d plug to export to studio. It seems I have more control over things in studio. Granted my scenes are not that complex since it is mainly product visuilization.

100% C4D plugin, 0% studio if it worked fully. As it is 10% C4D plugin, 5% studio (to investigate what errors the plugin is creating) ... waiting on the next version.
