I basically agree with Tom, and I think you should just use the tool that suits the job, whatever that may be at the moment. I use Rhino...when Studio was built it was the only tool I could really use to texture things, since Rhino had no real texture-mapping abilities at that time. So I got very comfortable with it, and I still wouldn't want to go without it. Later, as I have been writing the Rhino plugin, my goal has been to bring it to the point where working in the plugin or Studio offers a somewhat similar experience. Of course, there are aspects of Studio which are difficult to transfer into a plugin, so it remains for me a valuable tool.
