I moved to the Orkney Islands in 2003, London life was not really 'doing it for me' anymore...........more space here, nice people, good food, only two coppers...
....but low salaries.
There was no local market for my skillset, so I had to start from scratch pretty much........but you can't have everything!
Times are hard everywhere maybe...........rising food costs, oil market in frenzy, UK economy heading for a 'soiled pants' scenario too I should think, maybe better to ride-out the storm in familiar surroundings.......the States is an enormous market, could you not re-locate within the U.S for better prospects waqurto?
