All LCD text trimmed out of planar surface then placed 2mm above metallic shader with 50% roughness.
Glass then 2mm above text.

Tried it with mapping but the finer detail seemed not as crisp as geometry.

Thanks Adman,

I've been banging my head trying to recreate the equivalent of sw 'decals' by using projectors in rc5. Finally realized I need to wait! This technique looks great but wont work for my application which is rasterized artwork pad printed onto plastic parts.

Yup, if textures were working properly in RC5, I could wait until 2007 for Maxwell V1 quite happily.

I applied a texture in studio to a body in a multibody part, the other day, when I went to adjust the texture a different body with a different material and no texture changed instead. So very frustrated with SolidWorks and Studio textures at the moment.

So, is this a known issue?
