open new file, create cube, save file. double click form z surface style and go to maxwell tab. choose mxm from 1.7 no problem. choose any supplied material from 2.0 program crashes (every time).

opened 2.0 mxm's in MXED and re saved. same problem after.

Hi Gary, same here, crashes every time. I've used v1.7 mxm files successfully in v2 without crashing. I haven't tried making new material and rendering it.

Anyone adding 2.0 materials into FormZ with out a crash? mac or pc? What OS?

Hey V2 of Maxwell is working OK with V2 materials. I had one FZ crash after many successful renderings.

I am using Snow Leopard and a new video card. ATI 3870. tons of RAM.

(I stand corrected. It now is not working with V2 materials but works with V1.7 materials) Be sure to go thru your customer gateway and fill out a support form.

Yep same here. FZ 6.6.2 crashes everytime I load a mxm that was created with V2.0 MXED.

Running Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard on an 8 core intel with 9gb ram.

I can't run an animation because I can't reference any textures inside Form Z and V1.7 MXED will not work anymore.

I hope this gets addressed soon. I was about to pull the trigger and upgrade. I think I'll wait a bit. Can't have a hick up like that in the work flow.

Emailed Form Z and they have contacted Next Limit to address the problem. Hopefully it will be a quick fix; animation deadline looming. I wish Next Limit had the same tech support response time as Form Z.

I have received a email from Maxwell verifying the bug and saying it will be fixed in the next plug-in update. No indication of when.

This should be a hot-fix as the number of users unable to use the software is growing.....

Got the new pluggin and they did fix the V2 materials loading problem.

* They just fixed the transparency map issue. Should be posted soon. Just tested this am.
