BTW mate using this workflow is a little safer than scaling up then back just in case you extend past the original bounding box. It's just then a case of deleting the scaled up copy!
Mate it seems there is a real issue with SU and tight geometry. If I'm ever doing something detailed I make a component of the detail work and copy / scale it up then work on that one. Using intersect with model on fine stuff otherwise can turn to a bloody nightmare so I actually do this process quite often.fv wrote:The glass with 1mm beveled edges gave lots of problems.
