demo38, even if the glossy plastic surface is quite 'sexy', the real chair 'plastic' material has an opaque surface which is slighly microbumped. as far as for the clipmap issue, no idea... sorry.

I took the Herman Miller Aeron Chair that I had built and placed it in a "studio lighting" set-up based on the above thread (3 emitters only).
I'm liking the results so far, but I'm having issues with the clipmap not working on the chair fabric mesh? I've removed the clipmap for now and just applied a diffuse color. The diffuse material seems to be breaking down on the closest chair though? Any thoughts as to why?
