Hi,

everytime I use an hdri with fire I get following error message (no matter which file and where it is located) Sometimes it works for the first time, but the next time I start fire again, the error appears again. Any ideas?

1. >> Error: Reading Bitmap "F:/103 HDR - IES/HDRI/000 Hyperfocal VHDRI_Skies/VHDRI_Skies/VHDRIs/VHDRI_Cloudy04/VHDRI_Cloudy04.exr". Format not recognized. Render cannot continue.
2. Data preprocess failed. Render cannot continue.
3. startRender returned -1.

You say it happens with any file; could you please check that it also occurs when using this hdri? And if so, does it happen even with a very simple model? The point of asking is to find whether the issue could be due to the use of a particular collection of hdris, or possibly to some other factor related to a specific model.

Lastly, are you using the Standalone plugin, or Maxwell Render Suite?

hey,

.....my fault, sorry I simply did not realize that the vhdris are so large (135mb) :(
with your small hdri everything works fine and I just realized, that the vhdri collection also contains small versions with about 10mbs which work absolutely fine also. Sorry again.

thank you
