Sketchup 8 is out now!

But to me it looks like a very disappointing release: no x64, no better texturing tools, no subd or nurbs... but an improved StyleBuilder, still the shadoww bug and no dwg import for the free version... WOW!

the only thing that could be useful is the newer and faster ruby api and maybe a slightly better performance on large models...

...maybe it's time to take a look at bonzai3d 2 again

Solids look pretty useful as the "BoolTools" ruby was hit or miss for me -- but yeah, the only thing that might truly impress me is better ruby functionality... which is the thing that makes Sketchup really useful for complex modelling anyway.
