Hi,

maybe somebody know, how are created the trees from VB Visual?

http://www.vbvisual.com/product_info.ph ... ol--1.html

The Previews at the webpage are horrible old and quite bad looking, but in combination with a GI rendering they are good looking. I'm a Rhino user and the polygon count is quite limited at Rhino. For me the VB Visual trees are the best low poly trees I have seen.

My big question is: how are this trees created? Which software could be used for it?

Here a renderings with the trees:

and thats the branch texture:

FryRendering by Arscom Studio on the front page doesn't look bad at all.
Anyhow you could make tries like that with Xfrog and onyxtree.

The renderings by the Arscom Studio are impressiv!!!

Thanks for the hints for Xfrog and Onyxtree. I forget to say, the VB Visual trees have max. 8000 polygons. Are the evermotion trees low poly? My experience is that evermotion models are quite high poly.

Correct

With Xfrog you get XfrogTune, is used to reduce the complexity of branching structures of trees.

For lowpoly Vue and assets from cornucopia3d is the best solution  Vue 7 Pioneer 0$ + Exporter $149= 8) but I have not idea how it will work with Rhino. Work ok with "others"

Trees exported from E-on's Vue Infinite are very similar (in topology).

For a little more than the cost of both sets you could get Vue and make your own infinitey varied and for a broader range of plant types. All the other stuff in Vue would just be icing on the cake!

Vue trees seems to be quite low poly, that's good. A general problem seems to be conifers, for example never I have seen a good middle european pine.
