Hey guys, started a project with this pavillion looking thing, I just discovered Ivy Generator the other day so i couldnt help myself, obviousy theres a few things to add/fix. I think i made the paved area a little too big, and theres a massive hols in the fence, the texture wouldnt show in the viewport so i didn't adjust it. I havent used displacement a great deal, but the feature wall is a cube tesselated a few times, have disp. set to 3cm, should i bevel the object or does my uvmapping suck/

Cheers

Brett

OK a bit of an update, still a bit grainy but have a few things to fix, the grass is a bit shoddy, have to randomize it a bit more i think and i don't know what that shadow on the roof is from, think i might have instanced or cloned one of the trees, though it should still work. Any suggestions guys?

Nice job!
There are areas that could be improved still I think.
The grass planes look obviously like grass planes. I think they should be scaled down and there should be more of them.
The reflections on the water look flat and faceted and this is reflected on the roof.
The steps in the pool look too large and the edges look sharp.

Thanks for the reply bubbaloo, yeah the water surface was pointed out to me, i forgot to soften the polys, usually everything i render is a hard surface...oh well. My first attempt at grass planes, been playing with modo's scatter clone tool, didnt get it to look too right its hard to make it look random with only a small texture map, i was playing with that this morning, if i array some planes and then separate them into separate layers, i can randomise them by changing the uv maps, made a pretty nice 10m x 10m chunk with only 102 polys, experiment a bit further.I subdivided the feature wall quite a bit in modo but in studio it looks like it oly has 6 sides, couldnt get that seamless look, i would kill for a modo plugin :D

Cheers

So, is this a known issue?
