Texture-mapping with the 1.7 plugin works a bit differently, fixing a few issues which were in the 1.6 versions. Mostly, the changes relate to the use of Real Scale. For your beams, I would:

- delete all Rhino texture-mappings
- switch all textures to Channel 0
- turn on Real Scale for all textures

If you then select a beam and look in the Maxwell Object Properties page, you will find a new texture-rotation control you can use to set the direction of its' mapping. You do not need to use any Rhino texture-mappings, the plugin will handle all of the mapping using real-scale sizing.
