Hello,

is there a function that detects the death of a slave/node ? how is that solved ?

let's say you have 100 slaves that all need an update of maxwell. how is that done most efficiently ? what's your approach there ?

That could be possible. An auto-reboot - if for example node's CPU is below x% for 30+ minutes of time. If this action repeats more that 3 times then shut down slave.

But really this is tricky and can cause unwanted results sometimes. For example internet security updates. Sounds like a good wish we will look further on that.

If users want something like that I am sure we can add it in a future update.

Yes you can do that. You have of course to setup your firewall to connection to your office. Do not ask me if it can make coffee remotely.

1) Just a small update. The demo version will be available next week.
2) The "reboot if slaves fails" will be ready in 2 weeks time + 1 week for testing it. By the end of the month this option will be included. It is indeed a very good idea / especially for big farms when electricity cost can be reduced dramatically.

How do you handle logging in all of the machines... or is there a way to run Maxwell as a service?
Say that I have a farm that isn't running all the time and I use the wake on LAN feature to wake up 20 computers which were shut down. Would I need to log into all of them in order to use Maxwell? I already have Backburner running as a service so that isn't a problem.
